A little fun organizing with some new goodies

The other day I did a little re-aranging in my scraproom since I got a couple new organizing items. I'm always in the mood to organize in my scrap space, but I'm looking for function and cuteness which isn't always easy to do.

I had seen this cute organizer/ spinning divider system on Pinterest several nights ago. I quickly figured out where I can get my hands on one and I couldn't believe it, this cute organizer is for organizing bolts, nuts, etc… You can find them at Harbor Freight for only $19.99 and it comes in black, but I quickly primed and spray painted mine to match in my scraproom. What a difference a little paint made for cuteness!!! :)

Here is what it looks like before the primer, paint, and adding some cute goodies. P.S. Set a side some time to make this because I was very surprised how long it took and how many nuts and bolts it had to put it together. However, in the end it's way worth it! :)

I also recently started a Project Life Scrapbook and decided to gather all my little tags in one place so I can quickly go through them and see what I might like to use. This little metal tin from the dollar section at Target was the perfect thing to use to organize my tags and have them all in one place and right at my finger tips.

These are the items that I tend to use a lot, so I keep them right on my desk so they are always in reach.

When I'm scrapbooking I do notice that if I can see lot's of my scrap goodies, I definitely will use them more. So, I'm always looking for fun and cute ways to store those embellishment goodies out in the open, but still look cute and organized in my craft space.

I removed all my misc. buttons from a large glass jar and poured them into this long basket. By doing this I have already used my buttons so much more because it's much easier to go through and see what I have.

The basket on the (right) holds all my mini books, yap all of them I haven't made very many. I love how cute mini books are, but I never know what to do with them once I'm finished. I figured this was a cute way to gather them up, keep them organized, and show them off.

This Page Kit is a definite favorite because I always have so many pictures of bike riding with my little birdies (boys). We just loving riding our bikes to grab a yogurt, a ride to the park, or grab a Jamba juice.

This page is titled School Days, but it really can be used for just about anything and everything. I just love scrap pages that can be used to document our everyday life. Because that's what it's really all about. :)

Animal themed Baby Book

The other day my friend Chris and I got together to make this animal themed baby book for a family friend of his. I'd like to start by saying I've only made a few of these project scrapbooks before. So I stepped out of my comfort zone a bit and I had so much fun! Here's some of the pages in the baby book...

(no miss spelling on the title name the couples last name is Tager, so it's a cute play on the word.) :)

My friend Anna, loaned me these super cute QuicKutz dies that really added so much cuteness to the baby book. I really loved them!

The size of this Baby Book is 10 x 8

Not only making one of these cute books was a change for me, but theming was a big change. I very rarely do theme sort of items , but I stepped out and really enjoyed creating with a theme.

However, I would just like to say that I'm surprised the book ever got done that evening because we had so much fun LAUGHING and talking. I guess thats really what it's all about, the memories we create.

Have fun creating this year and try stepping out of your normal crafting routine to do something a bit different. You never know you just my love it! :)

It's the first day of the New Year and it's time for some scraproom organization! I'm looking forward to staying organized this year, along with having lot's of fun creating in my scrap space.

However, it never stays the same for long, I always seem to be making changes, so her's some new organized scrap room pics.

Having fun scrapping this cheerful and sweet scrap page yesterday.

My sister-in-law is having a baby and we can't be more excited!!! I created this scrap page for her to document her love of all sorts of dessert yummies she's been craving during her pregnancy.

As soon as I get a picture of her with her sweet treats, I'll post a pic of the entire 12x12 scrap page for you.

P.s. Her Nickname right now is "Sugar Cookie"!!! :)

All she has been talking about is sugar cookies lately, so i baked up a fresh batch of Martha Stewart's old fashioned sugar cookies last night for her and they where yummy!!!

OLD FASHION SUGAR COOKIES

3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
1/4 cup packed light-brown sugar
1 tablespoon finely grated lemon zest, plus 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 cup unsalted butter, (2 sticks), softened
2 large eggs
Sanding sugar, for sprinkling

If you get a moment this weekend, take it and make these cookies, you'll love them!

Last nights yummy healthy dinner...

Let me first start by saying, I'm not a super fancy cook, I can do the basics, but I'm not great with lot's of fancy seasonings or ingredients.

I've been reading & following Funky Junk Interiors blog and hearing all about Donna's journey to eat fresh and healthy and inspire & help others and she created a facebook page that you can LIKE called Junk Loser.

With all this inspiration I'm trying to make more healthy and smart food choices for my family to eat and most importantly, I'm using everything that is fresh, no cans, or boxes. Wish me luck! :)

After:

Last nights dinner: Lemon pepper Roasted chicken with golden potatoes, carrots, and (fresh sourdough bread not shown).

Before:

It's pretty simple, I just seasoned my chicken with sea salt, pepper, fresh squeezed lemon juice, and drizzled with olive oil. I stuffed the chicken with lemon wedges and parsley and then seasoned my veggies with a little lemon juice, sea salt, pepper, threw in a few more lemon wedges and some water. That's it, very easy and it was very moist and delicious!

Dessert:

Very simple, fresh, fast, and delicious dessert.

Fresh strawberries chopped up with a dollop of whipped heavy cream with no sugar. Deeeelicious!

A new obsession… Vintage cat photos! :)

Yes, it's true, I'm obsessed with vintage black & white cat photos (no people in the photos only cats)! I never knew something like this was a collector specialty, I had never seen them before and then suddenly, I stumbled upon them, I LOVE them, and so the love story begins. :)

However, this first photo is not vintage, it was actually taken just a couple of weeks ago of my sweet, little, royalty, queen, siamese, Mocha May Flower, she's simply the best cat a girl could ask for. So I have a special little interest in collecting the Siamese cat pics.

Here are a couple of my favorite cat pics a friend sent me.

Flea Market Chic Mini Book

Loving this new super cute mini book Flea Market Chic I got from my friend Jennifer or (J.P.) for short! :) I'm not typically a mini book girl, but this little cutie I couldn't get enough of.

Mine does look a bit different then the sample one if u click on the link Flea Market Chic but that's only because I'm not really a read the directions kind of girl. However this kit comes with the best directions I've ever seen, they are just not for me. :)

This mini book kit is simply over flowing with gorgeous embellishments.

The colors are heavenly and all the tags and tickets are so me.

I had so much fun staying up late and putting this little baby together and I'm looking forward to adding some of my favorite pictures.

The vintage sewing machine and typewriter are just so cute and add such a nice warm touch.

Loving my finished mini book, I have become a fan of them! :)

Olde Good Things… was simply incredible!!!

I just can't say enough about this fabulous store Olde Good Things, it has an incredible amount of vintage finds, must have goodies, one of a kind's, and just about anything you can want or imagine.

My sweet birdies took me for mother's day to the LA, Olde Good Things store after a wonderful lunch at Urth Cafe, my favorite. It's always nice when your husband and boys know what you LOVE!!! :)

After browsing the store my little birdies where so good waiting patiently for me to finish with all my shopping and picture taking.

I just love how much interest my little birdie has with reading, it always makes me so happy to see my birds reading away. ok back to shopping!!!! :)

My sweet little joshie, was very interested and intrigued by all of the unique finds.

Wish i was taking that beautiful mirror that's behind me home, but it's just a bit to tall for my house. P.S. loving my new purse pictured here, it's my fabulous birthday gift from the best sister-in-law ever! thanks jenn :)

The chalkboard is just a dream, I could imagine all the hours i would have loved to play school with that chalkboard as a kid.

This i could imagine keeping all my scrapbooking supplies nicely organized in and best of all, it spins! The green organizer below would also be a dream for a scraproom.

The Grand Garden Tea Event on Friday night was great!

I just loved how my new booth space turned out, my birdie (husband) did such a great job making my new page kit display that I designed. It was just a wonderful way to showcase lot's of the 12x12 page kits.

Here's some little goodies featured at the event, little wooden spools wrapped with 3 yards of red & white striped bakers twine.

One of my favorites are the new Green & White and Red & White Vintage Rose Bowl Coasters.

More vintage specialty coasters along with a mini wood spool, black library pocket with a tan scalloped oval insert all wrapped up with some twine

Brooches, ribbon, specialty envelopes, brooches, and tickets! :)

Flower hair pins, tickets, inks, smooch spritz, and pretty ribbons.

These admit one tickets are my favorite, I need to stop myself sometimes using them on every project or layout I make. :) Also, I love the color of my new vintage scale!

New tickets… I've added yellow double tickets as a new addition to my booth and soon to be added to my Etsy shop along with several more new ticket colors and styles.

Just wanted to let you know that I'm so looking forward to sharing pics soon of this amazing antique/ must have ultra specialty store that my birdie found for me in LA.

JBS Workshop challenge Scrap Page

Our Workshop Challenge was to use the cute little red trimmed Dennison Labels that we had received in our little goodie kit on a scrap page. They were really fun to work with and nice to try and use them in a different way not just as labels, but accents as well.

It was sure cute to look at the class gallery and see how creative everyone in the class was on how they chose to use the labels in many different ways on their layouts.

My favorite vanilla latte ever is from Urth Cafe and sometimes you just need to scrap about those yummy favorites, plus the dennison labels where a definite must to use on this layout.

When you have a chance try and take a little trip out to treat yourself to Urth Cafe, you won't be disappointed. :)

Zinnia is definitely a Space For Contagious Creativity, I just loved this super cute crafty store that my friend Michelle and I went and checked out for my birthday. The owner Joe was so incredible nice and insightful, it was such a great experience shopping and visiting at this beautiful creative shop. JBS Workshop Blog Journal for week#2

Here's my project from week#2 from the online JBS course I'm taking and loving! :)

All though we had many others projects and bonus projects we could do if we had time the main project was to create something using these really cute milk and bottle caps that were mailed out to us at the beginning of the class.

I finally came up with an idea for mine today and decided I really love when people have these really cute rosette pin wheels for holiday and everyday decorations. So, I decided I would give it a try and make some… Plus a rosette was part of a bonus project we could do soI kind wrapped up two projects in one! :)

This rosette pin wheel with a cute little milk bottle cap will greet me at my entrance way as I come and go from my home each day.

So Excited about this...

So excited because I'm taking the new Jenni Bowlin, Repurpose, Re-think, Re-invent 12 week online Worshop with jenni!!! :) The work shop started just a few days ago but, you can still sign up and join in on the fun.

I figured I would share and blog away my experience in taking my first ever workshop.

So in the workshop we will be doing all sorts of fun things and we will be taking field trips to find all sorts of inspiring new treasures. I figured, I better make me a cute little journal to write down any thoughts, keep notes, pics, places and events, and you get the idea. A special little journal to keep all sorts of good info. :)

For The LOVE of Pillows...

Hi, just wanted to share a few of my new pillows with you and some I've had for awhile. I'm obsessed with having pillows everywhere in my house and if your looking for a place to sit or sleep, well the odds are your going to need to move some pillows, because they babies are just to look pretty! :)

My black and white toile has been with me for a while and is a favorite from a wonderful antique store, blue pillow with birdie and rosette is from Target, love it!

New white pillow with ruffles and a stitched black edge on the ruffle, deal of a century and it was found at Marshall's!!! Then the black and white striped pillow hidden in the back corner is a favorite from Ikea. From big $$$ pillows to out right deals!!!

Black & white gingham pillow purchased years ago from Pottery Barn, NEW large blue fluffy ruffle pillow Kirkland Home.

A little mixture of Target, Ikea and Pottery Barn (good luck finding a place to sit on this bench, but it sure looks pretty)!

The New grey embroidered pattern pillow in this picture is my New FAVORITE and it's from the Amy Butler bedroom collection. The white with the yellow rosettes are Target and the other two I've had for a while that i can't even remember where I got them (sorry).

Then I have these 13 babies (PILLOWS) on my bed that I make everyday, (well, almost everyday :) you can't actually see all of them in this pick, but trust me it's 13 and I hear about how many we need to remove from the bed many of nights! LOL... Especially since we only sleep with 2 each. :)

The 3 large pillows midway back are from the Shabby Chic collection from Target, yes, I love Target, whats not to LOVE! :) The cream with the gorgeous ruffles around the edge of the pillows are from Anthropologie and where and extra special birthday gift from one of my besties. The front greyish/ blue with the ribbon embroidered flowers ( which for some reason show in this pic way darker then they actually are) are from a little country flea Market.

Well, thats it, a few of my favorite pillows. :)

Scrap Pages for the GCD booth @ CHA

Here's my scrap pages i designed using Donna Salazar's new paper line from GCD, for CHA!!!

I used vintage jewelry that was my grandma's, on this super cute butterfly cutout to added more warmth and sparkle.

Flowers were made from Donna's Craft Chronicle, new paper line, and book paper.

Rhinestone necklace was added to give more sparkle to this layout along with another vintage jewelry piece added to one of the flowers for more added sparkle!

I also used new dies designed by Donna Salazar, from spellbinders for these cute gears on this layout.

New Page Kit: Spring Flowers & Butterflies

Haven't found the perfect picture for this page kit yet, but I wanted to make sure I got it posted. :)

The large colorful specialty flower has already been assembled in the kit for ease and quick scrapping, also the pretty Glimmer Mist has already been added to the pretty 12x12 jenni bowlin paper. Holiday Fun... Sugar Free style! :)

This fun colorful scrap page was inspired by the old fashioned candy and ice cream shop we love to going to in the Claremont, Village. We especially love it because all the ice cream is made fresh right in the ice cream shop and they always make two new sugar-free flavors every few days. This is an added extra bonus for my little joshie, since were always looking for yummy sugar free snack options for him.

I used several jenni bowlin papers on this layout, some Sassafrass paper and embellishments, tickets from my tammy i Etsy shop, and bakers twine from Hydrangea Hippo Etsy Shop.

Another scrap page featuring a refreshing sugar-free treat for my little Binks (Joshie) it's always above and beyond wonderful when I can find fun specialty little goodies for him that he loves and can enjoy. We are just over a year and a half with Joshie's type 1 diabetes and we have sure learned a lot on this journey and he's doing wonderfully. This super cute soda bottle top paper from 7 Gypsies was just the perfect fit for this scrap page. I even saved the the bottle top from my Joshie's Diet Stewart's orange soda pop to use as the center of my flower embellishment.

The Just for you tag is from Corner Bakery Cafe that I've had for a year or so and I finally found the perfect scrap page to use it on. I'm always collecting and saving little goodies from all over to one day use on a scrap page or craft project. You never know where you just might find little scrap treasures.

To make the cute clear flower buttons I used the Epiphany button maker it is a must have tool and is one of my favorites. The Bakers twine that i love to use on everything is from hydrangea Hippo Etsy shop take a peek they have lot's of great colors.

Christmas Pillow Project

I was in search of some new Christmas pillows that I thought would be pretty classic and stand the test of time, so I wouldn't always be replacing them each year.

I couldn't find what I was looking for so I decided I would just make my own. I purchased some really good quality cloth napkins at Macy's for 60% off , Excellent! Then I found this really great vintage looking music note ribbon from Pottery Barn and decided this will work for my new classic Christmas pillows.

I was able to make all three pillows for only $25.00 dollars and I had ton's of this great ribbon leftover for lot's of other fun projects. I'm sure you'll be seeing it on some scrap pages soon! :)

For the 12 day of Christmas blog hop project, I made inserts for my clear cellphone cover for my iphone.

I started with the paper cutout that came with the cellphone cover and traced it onto several scraps of paper I had from Donna Salazar's, Weathered Winter, Trunk in The Attic, and Memory Mosaics paper line.

All papers have been traced and cut out.

Then to add a little extra juicing up of my papers I used Color Box, Chalk Ink Pads by ClearSnaps in Black, Warm Red, Olive Pastel, Dusty Blue, Alabaster, and Dark Brown was followed on all the papers to add a little more warmth and aged affect.

Christmas Design Team Project

Here was my challenge: Create a project using these super cute cookie cutter stamps from Donna Salazar.

I used ClearSnaps, Color Box archival dye ink in Wicked Black and stamped the cookie cutter stamp onto Donna's Winter Weathered paper that has a light washed weathered wood back ground.

Cut out the images to add to the layout

Images are now cut, super cute, and ready to go!

I used Donna's corrugated board, Smooch Spritz, and my favorite Spellbinders 'Grand Scalloped Circles' Die s to cut out the scallop circle from Donna's Musical Memories, Christmas music sheet paper.

I layered different papers from Donna's Weathered Winter to create this added embellishment for the scrap page layout.

More little layered and added details from Weathered Winter paper line.

Christmas Ornament

I took part in a Christmas ornament exchange last week and this was no different for me then any of my other projects. I must use my favorite Clearsnap, cat eye inks and I used one of my all time favorite ink colors Chestnut Roan .

Above, this picture is just the beginning stages of my ornament with no ink to really give my ornament more depth , interest, or texture.

Below is also the beginning stages of my ornament but, Chestnut Roan chalk, Cat eye ink has been added to the paper embellishments and have added so much more charm.

The finished product hanging beautifully on the Christmas tree.

Dinner with my birdies

Enjoying a fun night out at Hereos & Legends in Claremont, with my 3 little birdies! :) My birdies and I love this place because they have gigantic size drinks, peanuts we can eat and toss the shells on the floor, really yummy food, and it's super cute and a fun place to hangout and enjoy your family.

This is one of my latest scrap pages I've been working on and of course it has lot's of jenni bowlin products on it... her super cute butterflies, chipboard buttons, bingo cards, and of course papers. I used some older Prima flowers that I had taken apart and added extra scalloped circles, papers, chipboard buttons, inks, and ribbon to give them a whole new look.

In this pic I used on of my new favorite tools that I just love from Epiphany Crafts and it's a little button maker. It's just the cutes, you can use most any paper or turn your scrap paper bits into super cute stylish buttons to use on all your projects. Love Love Love this must have tool!

Finally found a spot for my little project...

Finally, found a spot in my home for my little design team project I made last month using Donna Salazar's fabulous papers.

Now it looks right at home in my scraproom above my ribbon center.

One of my new favorite things is adding the white paint to my projects giving such a special added touch. I watched Donna use the little technique on her scrap layouts at Desert Scrappers Weekend Retreat where I first started working on this project.

I used Spellbinders 'Grand Scalloped Circles' Dies on this project and I'm truly in loveeee with them! I also used tons of of my extra bits and scraps of my Donna Salazar papers for everything including all my handmade flowers. Today I am using Spellbinders S4-303 Crown Ovals die template and Donna Salazar's Smooch Spritz, paper, and corrugated board.

After cutting the die, I added Chestnut Roan Ink by clear snaps to all circles on the oval crown.

Now I added my Hello Kitty embellishments, flowers and soft green rhinestones by Kaiser craft to the center of the circles on the oval crown die.

I layer all my ribbon, paper, embellishments, on top of my Donna Salazar, corrugated board by Zutter and then the topping of the cake... My finished oval crown.

Then i cover my oval crown and Smooch Spritz the entire cover of my mini book to give it some extra added sparkle and shimmer.

The paper trim that looks like beautiful vintage lace is from the Donna Salazar paper line... I love love love all the great textures and patterns Donna uses for her papers.

Re-purpose your items into something NEW!

Changing the colors in my home decor and needing to change the colors I had on pictures that were on the walls. No need to buy something new, I decided I would try and repurpose them into something great.

I started by going through some of my favorite pieces of scrap papers and sorting them by the color scheme I was looking for. Then arranged them into a similar pattern, inked all the edges of the paper, and then mod podged the paper. That was it and now I have new pretty matching pieces to display in my family room, used up some scraps and repurposed some old pictures.

I just love when a plan comes together.

Here are a few of the up close pics and I just love the the little sayings that are on the paper and those papers are from the Donna Salazar Paper line along with the music note paper and several other pretty papers. Great Grandma's Candy Recipe!!!

OUR HOLIDAY TRADITION TREATS!

Here's the recipe for our traditional chocolate candy

treat that my mom passed down to me from her grandma.

I've keep the tradition going by making the yummy candy each year with my boys.

Place pan on a low heat and start by adding your 1 (12oz) package of chocolate chips and make sure to constantly stir.

Then you add in 1 (12oz) package of Butterscotch chips and 1 cup of peanut butter

P.S. That is a pretzel that my little Joshie has not a cigar! :)

then the spanish peanuts and don't forget to keep stirring.

Remove from the stove top and add the marshmallows and stir stir stir...

keep stirring! :)

Pour all the candy into a large shallow pan spreading it out evenly all over.

Very easy and now all you need to do is refrigerate for a few hours and then cut into small squares and enjoy! :)

New Design Team Project

So, happy I decided to recycle a straw little bag that I got in Jamaica a couple of years ago on a family cruise. My straw bag was a little loud with bright colored flowers and I decide to remove the bright flowers and replace them with some cute handmade flowers that are similar to the one's Donna Salazar makes. I made these flowers with a little twist and I added a pretty little rose center bud. I also used several of her beautiful Smooch Spritz colors on the flowers and on the straw bag to give it some warmth and color.

To make the flowers I used a 3' inch round scalloped punch, Donna's Salazar papers, her Smooch Spritz colors, and one of my favorite Donna's Musical Memories Sheet Music.

I could use the super cute Music Sheet paper for every little scrap page or project I make... LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!

New Fall Themed 12x12 Page Kits

I'm loving everything about this new Happy Halloween 12x12 Scrap Kit from the music note paper, flash card paper, black rose ribbon, sweet treat bag, and the fancy punched edge along the paper trim. Then my favorite of course is the little sweetie pumpkin in the the photo and that little treat belongs to my friend PJ and she is just the cutest thing, I just had to scrap her.

New Paper from Jenni Bowlin is always a must and to celebrate this new paper I made a special Fall and Family 12x12 page kit of my brother and me. I realized that as we get older that I hardly have any pictures of us together. With that said this was a must pic to scrap and note to self... try and get more pictures together. :)

My Little Birdies 12x12 Page kit is just full of great warm and rich Fall colors and of course the paper is from Jenni Bowlin. This photo was just taken the other month at one of our favorite places to eat Urth Cafe and it's always nice to get a photo of my little birdies happy and smiling!

Big changes made in my kitchen nook area...

I've been a buzzy little bee just painting and re-arranging tell I got my kitchen nook area just the way I wanted it. My new kitchen color is from Martha Stewart Living Paints (GEYSER MSL127) from Home Depot and I absolutely love it!!!

I couldn't be more happy that I finally found a spot for my extra pretty church bench that it can finally call my kitchen it's home. This cutie has been everywhere in my home just looking for the perfect spot to stay. :)

Love all the the cute pillows for the church bench and my favorite is the white pillow with all the pretty yellow rosettes. If you love them to, you can find them at Target! I also love collecting all the gorgeous Nordic Ware baking pans and have been adding them into my kitchen space for years.

My yellow hutch is from Ikea and I just loved it the moment I saw it and I really can appreciate all the extra storage space it brings to my kitchen.

This is my little coffee and tea station that's in my kitchen and I got this idea from Martha (Martha Stewart) of course!!! Martha mentioned everyday use items must be out in the open and fully accessible. BINGO, I've totally achieved that with this spot! My Kitchen Aide blender use to be the only yellow item I had in my kitchen and now it just fit's beautifully right in with the yellow accents.

I'm sooo enjoying my new kitchen nook space and now I'm off to incorporate the rest of the kitchen, our dinning space, and our family room with this new color scheme.

dreaming about kitchens...

I have been looking at so many different types and styles of kitchens that I even started dreaming about kitchens at night in my sleep. Trying to make big changes to my kitchen and give it a brighter more girlie, fresh, shabby chic look without over doing it, is that possible? :)

Every time I think I have a direction I'm going or a color scheme I find some cute pics that make me my rethink my decisions. The one thing I do know for sure is that I'm bringing in yellow into the kitchen. I absolutely love yellow and I have nothing yellow in my home and I figure the kitchen is a great place for it. Here are several inspiring kitchen picks that I loved and have motivated me to get in gear and start looking for all the key pieces to start my re-do on my kitchen.

My Little Mocha May Flower...

Love this silly fun picture of my cat Mocha also known as my sweet little Mocha May Flower. I took this picture while playing with different fun functions in Photo Booth on my Mac. I'm always trying new tricks and tips on my Mac to help juice up my pics this just happens to be a little extra fun and has us seeing double. :)

On this layout I used Donna Salazar's paper line for all of the paper, cut out piecing's, and flower punches. I love the beautiful yellow roses, the gorgeous vintage style music paper, the heavenly wood grain paper, and of course all the ever so cute paper lace trims. I guess you can tell that I'm super crazy for all these wonderful papers!!!

The cute dark brown and white bakers twine is from Hydrangea Hippo Etsy shop, button's are from my stash of vintage button's, and what looks like tissue paper behind the flags is really cut up coffee filters for extra added fun!

Having Fun...

Well, this is my first time featuring a "tammy i" double page layout in my Etsy shop it's not something I do a lot of, but this layout really seemed to call for it. I have some super cute pictures of my little niece (Little Monkey) to add to this layout, I just need to take a moment and go through and find them (will post pics when I do). :) Love the care-free Spring and Summer feel to this scrap page. I mixed some jenni bowlin vintage style paper along with American crafts (Elizabeth Kartchner's line) and other super cute papers as well.

I've been having lot's of fun working with all the super great papers, stamps, and Smooch Spritz from Donna Salazar's collection for all of my design team goodies. I'm so in love with this paper line that I will soon be featuring Donna Salazar's paper and products in some of my NEW "tammy i" Specialty page kits so, keep an eye out because I hope to be featuring those here on my blog and in my Etsy shop very soon.

This layout was at the end of a super fun day in SeaWorld with my aunt, cousin and little niece. My little Niece that that I call my "Little Monkey" because I must give everyone a little nickname for some reason. :) This pic was the perfect fit for these super fun and easy handmade flowers on this layout. For instructions on how to make similar flowers checkout my friend's blog Hydrangea Hippo and to make the same as I did, use a scalloped circle to start with instead.

Summer Projects...

Here are several of my new projects that I've been working on around my house this Summer.

I've been wanting to add another color to my black & white toile room and BINGO... I found these super cute blue birdie pillows at target and had to get several of them.

The next picture is of my new little Home Sweet Home sign and my sweet little dresser from my mom with a new coat of paint and great hardware my mom added to it.

Next is not a great pic, but this is the best of all of them. I repainted this dresser that was a nice solid oak piece and changed it to black and moved it all around my house until it ended up in my front room area. Wish the pic was better because it really has a lot of great detail that just doesn't show up. Next up... the piano! I was always dreaming about one day having my Aunt Judy's piano in my home and now that day has arrived. :) I'm enjoying playing it all the time!

Finally, found a piece that could hold these gigantic hat and coat hooks that i've been holding onto for about 10 years. My husband bought them for me knowing I would love them, but never had anything to add them to, until now. Then I went around finding different things to add to this hallway area and I'm loving all my I's for Inman's our last name. I found the silver I's and added them to the frames, but not before I put some 7 Gypsies music note paper in the frames for a more fun vintage look. Then you have the original James Bond, wall decal that I put up in my husband's office for Father's day since he's a huge 007 fan... like most men! :) excuse his mess he's in the middle off adding all our movies to a hard drive and him and the boy's have been working on this project for a couple of weeks.

Having a fun time yesterday and today hanging out in my scraproom and getting some stuff done. I'm enjoying the nice breeze coming through my scraproom window and realizing I've been enjoying the Summer weather, it's been so good so far. I'm typically a Fall, Spring weather kind of girl, but the crazy Summer heat hasn't really kicked in yet and I'm thankful for that.

I've been working on some little fun projects around the house and I'll take some pictures to share with you and post them soon.

I sure have been doing a lot of scrapbooking lately, it always seems that when the boys are on Summer break I get so much more done. I know this isn't always the case for everyone, but it really is for me. I love the freedom that Summer brings... staying up late, riding bikes, swimming, reading a good book, naps (yes, you heard me right I did say naps, it's rare but they do happen:) late night ice cream and donut runs, the beach, looking through tons of magazines, Antique shopping and so much more. I love the FREEDOM of Summer!!! :)

2010 Reflections Vendor Event

So happy to share I wanted to quickly post pics of my "tammy i" booth for you to see from yesterdays Reflections Vendor Fair Event. We had so much fun and my little helpers are my fabulous sister-in-law Jenny and of my Birdie (my husband) :) who were so much help I couldn't have done it without them. Of course you always have your behind the scenes help like my Aunt Rachel who watched my little birdies in order for us all to participate in the Reflections Event. Talk about the best behind the scenes help you could ever have, my Aunt was giving my boys a spelling test at midnight when we arrived to pick them up and they loved it! Only my Aunt Rachel... if you ever get the chance I sooo recommend getting one... an Aunt Rachel that is!!! Lol :)

About the event... it was so much fun and so many great vendors, Etsy shops, and incredible fun and nice people. We had such a great time meeting so many new people, staying very busy, and and selling tons of "tammy i" Page Kits and goodies. This event was a bid success thanks to all of you and everyone that stopped by our booth supporting my new scrap adventure.

New "tammy i" Page Kits for...The Reflections Carnival Isle Event this Friday, Newport!

Love this New embossed textured paper from Jenni Bowlin (of Course) :) it looks so fabulous once you sand them to add as much or as little detail as you want. My Birdies Birthday page! :)

Once again textured embossed paper from JB along with lot's of other great Jenni Bowlin Papers. This is a scrap page of my sister-in-law and her Birthday goodies from us.

Loving these cute Spring colors and the little green birdie with with the words written all over him that paper is Tree-Free, Eco-Friendly, Acid Free, and Certified Organic printed on Banana Paper. WOW... I love that!!! :) This cute layout is of my Monkey my cousin) and her new cute little Yoda backpack my Mogi (son) gave her while she was down visiting from Washington.

P.S. It's something she's had her eye on at Disney for awhile... :)

My Little Monkey was down visiting for a week on a little vacation, so of course I snapped as many pictures of hear as I could. Super cute!!! :)

Over the weekend I've been having so much fun scrapping and getting caught up on my scrap pages for 2010. Here are a few that I've been working on and you can also purchase them from my Etsy shop to scrap some of your fun family pics.

My sweet Little Monkey was here visiting a few weeks ago and of course I had to get her a new little baby and a little stroller to push her baby around in. She is so sweet and so good, I just love all my cute pics of her, I'm sure you'll be seeing more soon.

Then I scrapped my new favorite place, Urth Cafe in La it has the best latte's, desserts, and organic yummy foods. It's a must next time your out in the LA area or what the heck make a special trip and enjoy. :)

Last but not least is a bright fun scrap page of my Mogi, stopping for just a few seconds while I snap a few pics before he's back out having fun at the park riding his scooter.

Here are a couple of new Page kits I added to my Etsy shop. I had so much fun making a Spring layout of my birdies (My Boys) the weather has been just wonderful and it just makes you want run outside and have some outdoor fun!

I also loved working on my cute pics of my Joshie taken at one of my new favorite places Urth Cafe in LA. I used one of my all time favorite products to work with... Jenni Bowlin paper and embellishments. I also added some really fun new tickets to my layout that gave it an extra special shabby chic feel. You can also get these new tickets separate from the page kit at my Etsy shop along with several other colors and styles.

*My first page layout features lot's of new paper from American Crafts new Dear Lizzy line of scrap goodies. This was a really fun paper to use with my pictures of my little niece a.k.a. (LittleMonkey). :)

*My second layout is of my sweet little birdie, Joshie on his Birthday this year and I used Cosmo's Crickets, Earth Love line of Paper.

On both of these layouts I have added handmade little fabric flowers for an extra special little touch and each scrap page has plenty of room to add several pictures to the layout.

12x12 Scrap pages using Sassafras, Donna Salazar, and Jenni Bowlin

Here are my scrap pages that I made last Saturday at my friend Michelle R's crop night!

I had such a great time as always, hanging out chatting, laughing, and scrapping with friends.

Layout #1 In Vegas with my family and we ran into my cousin Bobby in Vegas, what are the odds! Were sipping on Margaritas from the fun slushy machines except they don't sell Icee's in these machines! :) I used lot's of Sassafras paper on this layout, a little Making Memories, Jenni bowlin bingo card, Tim Holtz ticket, and it was all made from scraps except the main 12x12 piece.

Layout #2 New Years Eve pics with my birdie (husband)! :) I used Sassafras paper, Donna Salazar's new paper line, and jenni bowlin circle die cut.

Layout #3 This is a layout of my sweet little Joshie. I used all JB scraps on this page, the main 12x12 sheet is also jenni bowlin paper and the little owl is Making Memories.

Antique Shopping at The Brick Basement in DownTown Fullerton

I love to go antique shopping and I'm always on the look out for that special find. I'm usually not sure what that special find is, but I always know it when I find it. :)

I love the Antique store in DownTown Fullerton, The Brick Basement it is two stories and is always full of really great specialty pieces. If your ever in the area you should stop by and enjoy it!
